This is one of the new techniques I’ve been experimenting with on my camera. I’m trying to learn more and more neat ways to capture the same image. This is really easy to do if you just jerk the camera in either direction as you take the shot, creating this really cool streak effect with the lights. I love the spontaneity of this effect in that you can never really predict how the light streaks will appear in the photo. I shot this over the 4th of July at the beach hotel we were staying at.

As soon as I saw this photo in tknipe.tumblr.com’s archive, I just had to reblog it. I guess it was more of a mental note for me because although this may be seriously preemptive, I would love to wear my hair like this one day in my wedding. I love how the stylist incorporated flower buds into a do that allowed the bride to wear her hair down. Very beautiful! :)
